Abstract The effects of recrystallization on room temperature tensile properties and
susceptibility to test environments (air or vacuum) of a
Ni3Al(Zr) alloy have been investigated.
The results show that the index of susceptibility to test
environment increases with increase of recrystallized degree . It is found that air reduces the
fraction of ductile fracture for completely
recrystallized specimens. For the partially
recrystallized microstructures, the ductile fracture mode
remains unchanged when test environment changed from vacuum
to air. The reason has been discussed in this paper.
