Abstract  The lifetimes and S parameters of Co-Ga binary alloys with different compositionsat different quenching temperatures have been determined by means of positron annihilationmethod. Two types of β solid solution, i. e., substitutional solid solution at Co-rich side ofthe ideal composition and Vacancy solid solution at Ga-rich side have been observed respec-tively.
