Abstract  Magnetic anisotropy and distribution of moments in the ribbon of rapidly quenchedamorphous alloy Fe_(81)B_(13.5)Si_(3.5)C_2 have been studied with~57Fe Mossbauer effect. The results showthat thinning and surface removing of ribbons have little influence on the internal stress systemand distribution of moments in as-quenched sample, and the distribution of moments does notvary along the thickness of the ribbon.
