Abstract The mechanical properties and microstructures of an Fe-base GH35Asuperalloy have been examined during aging at 650--750℃ for 100--10000h. Thetensile strength of the alloy changes no more with aging temperature and time atroom temperature, but the ductility and impact toughness at room temperature, aswell as stress-rupture life up to 700℃ decrease slowly during aging even till10000h. And the initiation time to worsen its properties becomes shorter as theaging temperature increasing. The mechanical properties of the alloy are found tobe mainly varied with the formation, morphology, distribution and character of theσ-phase precipitation.
