Abstract The cavities nucleate at the triple junctions of grain boundaries insingle phase Fe-Cr15-Ni25 alloy, but at carbide in such alloy that the carbide pre-cipitated along grain boundary. The boundary carbide may retard the growth andinterlinkage of cavities, so as to improve remarkably the resistance to creep crackgrowth.
