Abstract  By use of a differential scanning calorimeter, the crystallization kinetics of an amorphous Fe80B20 alloy was studied. The kinetic parameters of crystallization, such as the transformed fraction x(t),the local activation energy Ec(x), and the average Avrami exponent n, were analyzed. The crystal growth in this alloy is not only interface-controlled but also diffusion-controlled.
