Abstract This paper studied the effect of the welding-supporting technology on the quality of steel-aluminium solid to liquid bonding. The results show that welding-supporting technology can solve interface oxidation problem in the process of solid to liquid bonding, and interfacial strength in steel-aluminium solid to liquid bonding could increase substantially by immersing flux No.1 made up with halogenide.
