Abstract LY12CZ alloy samples with different exfoliation corrosion grades were prepared by
dipping in EXCO solution. EIS characteristic of samples in 0.1 mol/L NaCl solution was studied. The results show that the samples with different exfoliation corrosion grades in 0.1 mol/L NaCl solution are of different EIS characteristic which can be used to distinguish the exfoliation corrosion state. The results provide a necessary foundation for field-monitor of aluminum alloy exfoliation corrosion.
