Abstract Equilibrium between liquid Fe containing Nb with Nb_2O_5-MnO-SiO_2slag was investigated at 1828 K, the solid electrolyte oxygen concentration cell be-ing used to measure the activity of oxygen in the metal bath. The activity of Nb_2O_5and MnO in the slag was evaluated, accompanied with an iso-activity diagram ofα_(Nb_2O_5) and α_(MnO) in Nb_2O_5-MnO-SiO_2 slag.
