Abstract Reaction of Ce with S and O in liquid Fe-V-Ce solution has beenstudied in the temperature range of 1550 to 1670℃. The temperature dependences ofthe equilibrium constant of reaction Ce_2O_2S=2(Ce)+2(O)+(S) and the starndard freeenergy of formation of Ce_2O_2S have been obtained. The temperature dependences ofthe interaction coefficients e_V~(Ce) and e_(Ce)~V. have also been determined.
