Abstract The structure of Y_2 (Fe_(0.95)Al_(0.05))_(14) B is tetragonal Nd_2Fe_(14)B type, its space groupis P42/mnm; Al atoms enter into the Crystal structure and occupy the sites 4c and 8j_2 prefer-entially. The relationship between magnetic properties and the occupancies is discussed prima-rily.
