Abstract The effects of two different phase structures of TiNi on its electrochemical properties were studied. By utilizing the transformation hysteresis, both TiNi samples with austenite and martensite structure were prepared and tested at the same temperature. The former has better kinetic properties than the later. In this paper the effect of hydrogen dissolved in the alloy to form solid solution on phase transformation temperature was also investigated with the electric resistance method.
