Abstract The effect of hydrogenation on the hot deformation behaviour of a cast Ti-25Al- 10Nb-3V- 1 Mo alloy was investigated by the isothermal hot compression test in the temperature range of 900-1000℃. The microstructural changes were examined by optical microscopy and TEM. A reduction(37%-45%) in the peak stress was observed when the alloy was charged to 0.2%H (mass fraction), which corresponds to decrease the deformation temperature by about 50℃ . Hydrogenation promotes the globularization or dynamic recrystallization of α2 phase and dynamic recovery of β phase in the alloy.Correspondent: ZHANG Yong,Beijing Box 81-4, Beijing 100095
