Abstract  The distribution of lead and tin between liquid gallium and mercury has been studiedover a suitable concentration range at three temperatures. The distribution coefficientsobtained from the experimental data are plotted against the composition of the galliumphase, and the shape of the curves is briefly discussed. Besides, the distribution coefficient for magnesium between liquid gallium and mer-cury has been determined for a single concentration at 35℃.
