Abstract  The effect of hot deformation conditions on the recrystallization in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy was investigated. The working softening during deformation above T_β is due to the dynamic recovery. The recrystallization was considered as the static recrystallization following hot deformation. The volume fraction of recrystallzation decreases with increasing the deformation temperature. It is the temperature that causes the change of the β grain size prior to deformation. High strain rate will prompt the recrystallization.
