Abstract  By using high temperature X--ray dffractometer, the structure factor S(Q),radial distribution function 4 and total coordination number of the liquid Al-Si alloy were presented. Radial distribution function of alloy was decomposed by 5 Gaussian peaks, and the elfed of Sron the alloy's liquid structure was investigated. The result showed that Si--Si covalent bond eAsts in the melt of eutectic and hyper--eutectic alloy and Sr has capability to weaken the coto bond.
