Abstract  The room temperature ductility of Fe_3Al alloy with environmental embrittlement at room temperature can be improved nearly by three times by electro-brush plating copper or nickel on the specimen surface. SEM observation showed that a transition layer between the surface coating and the matrix formed during plating and the fracture surface of tensile specimen exhibits partially dimple morphology.
