SELF-REACTION COEFFICIENTS OF Ca AND Mg IN LIQUID Sn. Acta Metall Sin, 1989, 25(5): 79-84.
Abstract The interaction parameters of Ca, Ti and Mg in the Sn-based dilutesolution have been determined at 1500℃. Experimental measurements were taken byequilibrating the systems composed of the same component slags and various compo-nents Sn-based alloys with metallic Sn as flux and graphite as reducing agent un-der Ar atmosphere mixed with different portions of CO. It was found that a con-siderable error would be ommitted owing to neglect of the parameters ε_(Ca)~(Ca), ε_(Mg)~(Mg) andε_(Tl)~(Tl) in the Sn melts when the activities of the components CaO, MgO and TiO_2 inthe slags were estimated by this method.
