Abstract Arbitrary incomplete measured pole figure (except that of {100}) of cubic materi-als can be completed by using the fundamental equations of the vector method and employingthe measured data as constraint conditions. The prediction of this method is in good agreementwith experimental results, and the analysing procedure has been proved to be simple and ef-ficient.
