Abstract Enthalpy change, △H, of partially graphitized self-baking carbon block with different graphitization degree has been determined by means of copper calorimeter in temperature range from 14 to 1000℃. It seems that the graphitization degree is not influential to △H of the carbon blocks in the range of the experimental temperature. The temperature dependence of the A△ is expressed as follows:△H=-33.31+1.11T+3.69×10~(-4)T~2+9.85×10~2Ta~(-1) By differential the temperature dependence of the massic heat capacity c_p is repesented as follows:c_P=1.11+7.38×10~(-4)-9.85×10~2T~(-2)
