Abstract Accuracy of coefficient A_(isp) is related to the reference phase chosenduring analysis. The criterion of choosing reference phase which may minimize theerror of A_(isp) was deduced. The optimum results could be obtained by using the me-thod of least sqares if the number of samples for analysis is more than the phasein samples. The procedure presented here is satisfactory for ordinary phase analy-sis.
