Abstract  The amplitude frequency characteristic curve and loss factor of laminated damping steel sheet have been calculated and measured with the sine scanning excited method. The laminated damping steel sheet using phenolic resin-chloroprene rubber for sandwich possesses good vibration damping characteristic; in the temperature range from 20℃ to 150℃. Its loss factor is over 0.05, the maximum value of loss factor over 0.35.
