Abstract  Catalytic kinetics of the carbothermic reduction of titanomagnetite concentrate was examined in the temperature range from 900 to 1150℃ . An addition of alkali carbonate enhances the rate of the reduction of titanomagnetite, the catalytic effects are in the order: Na_2CO_3 > Li_2CO_3.
