Abstract Internal friction of Al bicrystals with mis-orientation angles 60° and 129.5°was measured with forced-vibration method. Internal friction peaks vs temperature were ob-served around 200℃ (frequency 1Hz) with an activation energy of about 0.88 eV. Preliminarydiscussions were made on the mechanism of this internal friction peak.
