Abstract The cooling rate results in the change of structural distortion of Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_(9-x) phase, which depends upon the oxygen content in it. Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_(9-x) phase reacts with O_2 in 600-400℃ during cooling, this causes the structural distortion related to superconductivity. Slow cooling in this temperature range benefits the absorption of O_2.
