Abstract The torsional vibration of blooming mill may be classified into impulsivetorsional vibration and self-excited oscillation.The various conditions causing tor-sional vibration have been analyzed.The calculational method of TAF valuesfor various torsional vibrations and the prediction about the level of which theTAF might be reached were proposed.The dangerousness and preventive measur-es were also pointed out.
